Making a Difference!
Driven by the vision and dedication of Rupen, the Bamboutos division recently witnessed a series of impactful events that have yielded significant positive outcomes for the community. These achievements, spearheaded by Rupen’s initiative, encompassed a wide range of crucial areas, from fostering intergenerational understanding among youth to promoting health awareness, encouraging girls’ participation in STEM fields, championing environmental sustainability, extending support to vulnerable children, and equipping young individuals with essential digital skills. Let’s explore the remarkable accomplishments realized through Rupen’s efforts in the Bamboutos division
- Educative talk with 64 youths of the Bamboutos division on the theme “Intergenerational
solidarity: What place and advantages for Cameroonian youths” - Sensitization campaign on the dangers of STDS (HIV AIDS etc) and Hepatitis B. Free HIV AIDS
and Hepatitis B screening of 162 secondary school students and 50 adult residents of
Mbouda. - Sensitization campaigns to engage girls in STEM with 300 secondary and high school
students in Mbouda sub-division, competitive examination involving 29 outstanding female
students and awards to 9 laureates. - Sensitization of about 500 residents of the Mbouda municipality on waste management and plastic pollution
- Donations to the orphanage of St Benedict Monastry of Babete in Mbouda
- Training of 21 youths (14 girls and 7 boys) in Microsoft office package, web designing etc.
- Donations of didactic materials to the Ecole Publique de Bamoudong Chefferie Groupe 2.
